Iguazu Falls

I've decided against writing things in a linear fashion, mostly because I'm struggling with what to write about Patagonia, but that's for another blog post.

Right now Mark and I are in Argentina, at Iguazu Falls.

It's considered one of the great waterfalls, up there with Niagra and Victoria Falls.  I think it's classified as biggest by volume, but then I couldn't be sure, there are a million ways of measuring these sorts of things and tourist sites love to claim to be the biggest, the best, the tallest, the widest, ect. While in Europe we came across three of the biggest ports in Europe.  My personal favourite was a statue of buddha in Hong Kong whis was 'the biggest statue of a copper buddha lying down in a building' (or something like that).

Meanwhile, Igauzu was pretty amazing, with lots of waterfalls that spread between Brazil and Argentina (much like Niagra and Vic Falls funnily enough).  We didn't go to the Brazilian side, less to see for the same price, and we're becoming poorer and poorer by the day.  I don't expect sympathy.

We were both really really impressed, apparently 'negative ions generated by waterfalls make people happier' and despite extreme humidity we loved it!  With loads of walks and spots to sit and listen to the roar of as tonnes of water cascads down the side of cliffs while a million little butterflies swarm you, attracted, I assume, to the salt of your skin, how can this be anything but one of South America's premier attractions.

Mark hasn't organised his photo's from the falls yet, but I'll post some once he has.
