Well this is my last night in India. Due to new Indian visa laws Mark and I are going separate ways for two months. In December, India changed visa rules so that if you leave the country, you aren’t allowed back in for two months and have to reapply for your visa, even if you’ve still got 6 months left. The plan had been to head to Nepal together, where I would become a yoga guru while Mark hiked for three odd weeks with some friends.
Since I didn’t really desire to spend two months waiting to Mark to hike the length and breadth of Nepal in a place which is all about trekking I decided to head back to fly over to South East Asia and spend the time on a beach in and then head to Laos to spend time in my favourite country. When I mentioned this to my parents, kindly offered to fly me back to Perth for the second month, so guess what I’m going home for the first time in four years with the exception of our whirlwind tour wedding. Poor Mark has had to listen to me talk about all the food, wine and friends I’m looking forward to. Fish and chips on the beach, Mum’s lamb roast, actual salads, red meat, good white wine, bunnings hot dogs, meat pies, good breakfasts YUM!
We’ll meet back in Delhi on the 31 May because we already had flights booked and then we head to Greece to hang out with Mark’s parents there. The year just keeps getting better.
